Twelve British BookTokkers You Should Follow

A few months ago I joined TikTok and started a BookTok channel. I was inspired by the BookTok channels I was addicted to scrolling through every evening. Now I have a list of favourite British BookTokkers I think you should follow.

These BookTokkers are all different ages and at various levels of influence, but it’s their content that I enjoy.

Scarlett is an eighteen your old BookTokker who shares book hauls, quick book recommendations, bookshop visits, and her favourite books. Her favourite genres seem to be young adult, historical and contemporary fiction.

Justine is an American woman living in the UK. Her channel is a lot of fun – and features cats! A plus – and includes things like bookshop tours, TBR’s, aesthetic reading, and giveaways. She reads fantasy, sci-fi, and a mix of other genres.

Brittany is one of the first BookTokkers I started watching on TikTok. She’s really funny and her videos are always entertaining – which is why she has over 40,000 followers! Her videos include things like video memes, book recommendations, weekly wrap-ups, reviews, and TBR’s. She reads extensively across genres, so you’re likely to find her sharing a book you love or would love on her channel.

Jenny’s channel is really sweet. She shares a lot of book reviews, aesthetics videos, favorites, book tags, and book recommendations. It’s very geared towards fantasy and YA, so if those are your two favourite genres then you’ll enjoy Jenny’s content.

Eloise’s channel includes the typical bread and butter content of BookTok, including book hauls, bookshop tours, and book recommendations. The genre of books she showcases are primarily fantasy and YA – you’ll see a trend of this on BookTok! – and her channel aesthetic is really appealing.

Rachel’s BookTok is very fun and she typically shares book tags, book hauls, and book recommendations, but also a lot of video memes and funny videos. She’s heavily geared towards fantasy and YA – as per – and really doesn’t like classics…

Ali has a budding BookTok channel with just over 1,000 followers. I really like her choice of content from the standard book hauls, to things like hardback vs paperback videos and bookshelf reorganisation.

Evie’s channel is heavily geared towards book aesthetics but she regularly shares ‘Convincing you to read books based on their aesthetic’ videos, which are always enjoyable as well as book firsts – like book fairies and giveaways. A great channel to watch if you’re new to BookTok.

Holly is a brilliant British booktokker. She produces a ton of content regularly and her videos are normally quite funny! She shares videos like diverse and LGBT book recommendations, reviews, and video memes and her genre taste is varied, so you’ll see a mix of the typical fantasy and YA’s but also a few contemporary options as well.

Holly produces a fantastic mix of videos from book hauls to bookshop tours, tags to book challenges. Holly’s genre taste is mixed between fantasy, YA, contemporary and historical.

Emily’s BookTok channel is a really fun bread-and-butter account, filled with TBR’s, reviews, book hauls, and book box openings. She’s a particular favourite of mine as she’s read the Bridgerton books and she did a great ranking video – although I’m not sure that Francesca’s story was the strongest.

Zoe’s BookTok channel is extremely popular and for good reason! It’s not only extremely pleasing to look at – a very well-curated channel- but the ideas are also fantastic. There are a lot of book recommendations, POVs, and also fun video memes and trends and she reads across pretty much all genres; from non-fiction to young adult so a really good account to follow if you’re just getting started.
