TV Shows I’m Rewatching 2021

Lately, I’ve been rewatching a ton of TV shows. Today I thought I would share them as they’re great for background noise and for watching on a commute.

Here are the TV shows I’ve been rewatching – or binge-watching – to relax over the last few weeks.

Elementary (Amazon Prime)

My current re-watch is Elementary, a Sherlock Holmes retelling. With Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock and Lucy Liu as Watson, it’s set in New York City with Sherlock as a recovering drug addict. The series is quite moving in places and really focuses on the friendship between Sherlock and Watsoin. Seven seasons’ worth of murder mysteries.

Gilmore Girls (Netflix)

If you prefer gentler TV shows, I recommend Gilmore Girls. It hasn’t aged amazingly well, it started airing in 2003, but it’s still a lot of fun. The character’s ridiculously fast-talking, and the pop culture references are what make it work. I still can’t recommend the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life sequel though. Still not good.

Bridgerton (Netflix)

I wasn’t very well recently, and throughout the day I re-watched the entire Bridgerton series. It’s gentle, easy to follow but still fun. The comedy is just my type, very British, witty, and sarcastic. Plus the romance is just the right level of hot and cold. Can’t wait for season 2!

Downton Abbey (Netflix)

And finally, I rewatched Downton Abbey over the summer and it was great fun. I forget how much time they cover. The series starts in 1912 and ends with the movie in 1927. A lot changed in that period, in real-life, and the series documents it well. As well as being a dramatic period drama.
