Top 5 Home Decor Stores | UK
If you’re doing up your home and want to find affordable home decor, here are my top five home decor stores in the UK.
In each of these stores, you’ll find decor items to fit any vibe you’re after: Moroccan, boho, minimalist, cosy, bright, or downright kitschy. And any budget.
Top 5 Home Decor Stores
Matalan
I love Matalan for home decor – not so much for their clothes, honestly – it’s so affordable! And it looks amazing in the home. A lot of their stock sells out fast, so if you see something you like grab it! Their website is probably better than in-store, but if you want to check the quality of the product beforehand definitely find one of their bigger stores to see what you can find.
Dunelm
I LOVE Dunelm. In fact, I actually think they might be my favourite home decor store of the moment – shocking, I know. I got my sofa from this store for only £299. A three-seater with a chaise lounge! That’s value for money. But not only that, but they also sell amazing home decor items and light furnishings. I particularly love their cushions and throws. You can’t beat them for cosy, farm-house chic items.
Wilko
A go-to for many of us in our twenties. Wilko’s arguably do the best University deals in September and I doubt anyone in the UK has gone to University without first checking out a store for some cheap cutlery or a kettle. But they also do other furnishings which are the perfect pick-me-up for a home. From ottomans, paint, kitchen lines of utensils and more. You can’t beat their value for money, and they have everything you need to furnish each room in your house.
IKEA
Of course, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention IKEA. Technically not a UK store but still a UK staple when it comes to home furnishings. Who hasn’t gotten lost in the marketplace and filled their trolley with items they don’t need but want? We’ve all done. I regularly go just to stock up on mason jars, candles and kitchen utensils. But of course, their furniture is irreparable when stocking a home on a budget.
The Range
While you’ll find a lot more in-store than on their website, I still highly recommend going to The Range for home decor items. They sell unique and eye-catching pieces for very affordable prices. From mirrors, canvas’, furnishings and lighting. They have a good selection across the board. Check it out and see what gems you’ll find.
