The End of Year Tag 2020

We’re less than a week away until New Year’s Eve and that means it’s time for the End of the Year Book Tag.

If you want to take part, simply copy the questions below and answer them on your own blog, YouTube channel or Instagram stories. Or simply comment with your answers below.

The End of Year Tag 2020

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

Uhh… yep. Quite a few. I started Exciting Times by Naoise Dolan, Room with a View by E.M. Forster and The White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge to name a few. I do plan to finish these three, at some point, I just don’t know when.

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

Not really. The only time I read seasonally is around Christmas, and even then I’ve only got about two or three books I tend to read. Otherwise, I’m very much a mood reader.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

There are a ton of new releases that are coming out in 2021 that I can’t wait to read. I’ve shared a post on it already, but now I’ve got a ton more books I want to add. Watch this space.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

If I have time, I would love to read The Pearl by John Steinbeck, Passing by Nella Larson and Insatiable by Daisy Buchanan. But we’ll see. The end of the year is usually quite a busy time.

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

I think the book that surprised me the most this year was The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I had heard a lot of good things about it but never rushed to pick it up until it was chosen in my book club. And then I couldn’t put it down. The twist at the beginning alone was enough to hook me in; it was a whole new reading experience for me.

Have you already started making reading plans for 2021?

Yep. Have you met me? I’ve got my book wish list sorted, new releases pencilled in, in my diary and more Bookish Resolutions drafted. It’s going to be a good book year for me I think.

Let me know what your answers would be in the comments below. Are you looking forward to what 2021 has to offer you?

Love Ellie x
