The Best Podcasts I’m Listening To Right Now
Today’s post is about the best podcast I’m listening to right now. Ever since COVID started my podcast consumption went down. I used to listen to them on my commute but since my commute became about 4 metres, it wasn’t as much of a habit.
Recently I’ve got back into listening to them. These are the top five I go to on repeat, usually via Spotify Web Player.
Best Podcasts I’m Listening ToCtrl Alt Delete by Emma Gannon
Ctrl Alt Delete has been a favourite podcast of mine for years and I still enjoy it to this day. I think the guests are really well-curated and I find out a lot about people I’ve never heard of on a daily basis. Most of the guests are down-to-earth and creative types, so they give candid advice.
The podcast that got me back into listening to podcasts was Goblet of Wine. It’s a Harry Potter podcast, where two friends – Hannah and Charlie – get drunk and talk about a chapter of Harry Potter each week. It’s usually hilarious and their perceptions are great – they come up with fascinating conversation topics. Well worth a listen if you’re a Harry Potter fan.
Speaking of Harry Potter. The Weasley Twins have a podcast! They regularly feature famous guests. A lot of their guests are from the Harry Potter film series. But the other guests have included Outlander’s Sophie Skelton, Jacqueline Wilson, Ed Sheeran, and Karamo Brown. It’s a very British podcast and good easy listening.
From one famous duo to another, this time Merry and Pippin from Lord of the Rings. Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd joined forces to create this hilarious podcast of random topics. Again, a lot of their episodes include guests from the Lord of the Rings series – great for anecdotes if you’re a fan!
And finally, for those creative and freelance types like myself, I highly recommend Is This Working? I’ve met Anna a few times and recently finished her book You’re the Business. She’s a really good freelancer and great at giving advice. This podcast features her and her friend Tiffany, talking to other freelancers about what they’ve learned and the mistakes they’ve made.
