Summer Favourites 2023
As August comes to a close this week, I thought I would share some of my Summer Favourites 2032. These are the items and experiences I’ve been loving this June, July and August.
Summer Favourites 2023
Baked Camembert
I saw a recipe for a delicious Baked Camembert on TikTok and I had to make it. From toasting some sourdough bread with olive oil and sea salt to a bit of honey and olive oil with chilli flakes on top of the Camembert. Delicious. A perfect Sunday treat.
Desperados
A bit of a weird one for me, but I’ve been enjoying having a Desperados in the sunshine with friends after work a few nights this Summer. A refreshing drink to sign off from a stressful few weeks at work.
Theatre
I’ve been to a lot of shows recently, from Shit-Faced Shakespeare to Guys & Dolls at the Bridge Theatre. I’ve still got a few more shows to go to this month, and I’ve been enjoying hanging out with my mum – my theatre buddy! – whenever we go.
TikTok
After a little break, I’ve got back into the flow of TikTok and making videos again. From a tour of Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium to a popular Which Classics Are Worth It video that had over 30k views.
Heartstopper Season 2
This show constantly makes me go ‘aww’ and I love it. The second season took the cast to Paris and it was adorable yet powerful. Should be compulsory viewing at Secondary Schools. So lovely.
The Sims 4
The Sims 4 returns to my favourites list. They released x2 new Expansion packs in the Summer and I’ve been loving playing both. Very relaxing after a long week of work to chill with a mindless PC game for a few hours.
Harry Potter Film Series
This Summer I’ve been doing a re-watch of the Harry Potter film series. It’s lovely to have them on in the background whilst I play The Sims or cook dinner. I know them so well I can quote them without thinking. Comforting viewing.
