Half of all Millennials Have a Side Hustle
Episode 6 is here! This episode is all about the millennial side hustle!
I love a good side hustle, and I am a passionate side-hustler myself. I regularly refer to myself as a multi-hyphenate though as I am a full-time Marketing Manager, a freelance journalist, blogger, podcaster, and a public speaker.
My hustles came about as passion projects, involving some luck and timing to ultimately becoming financially solvent side hustles.
Today’s episode is going to be all about starting a side-hustle and why millennials love a good passion project.
Over half of all millennials have a side hustle, whether they know it or not.
Many of us have them for different reasons. I was surprised, during my research, to discover that a lot of my fellow multi-hyphenate’s begin their second careers merely for some disposable income. I had always thought of side-hustling as a second-career, a freelance starting point or as a strong passion project.
Side-hustling is a great way to develop your skills, increase your finances and also follow a dream that you have suppressed for the sake of a full-time career. Whilst millennials are often labeled as entitled, demanding snowflakes clearly the papers have it wrong as we’re hustling like crazy in this modern-day and age.
Don’t let the ‘man’ get you down.
Have a listen and see what you think. Are millennials really lazy and entitled? Do we not want to work hard at all? Are hustles really just hobbies? You make up your mind and let me know in the comments below.
