Reading Challenge 2020 Update

We’re at the halfway point of the year – not that’s it been a great year so far! – and it’s time for a Reading Challenge 2020 update.

So far I have read: 53 books!

My Goodreads reading challenge aim is to read 100 books before the end of the year. Well, I’m officially halfway there already, and I’ve still got another six months to go.

A look at my favourite books of the year so far:

  • Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid
  • Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell
  • Modern Love edited by Daniel Jones
  • Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
  • Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi
  • The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
  • Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen

What were my Bookish Resolutions of 2020?

I have four aims for the year:

  1. Read 100 Books
  2. Read 5 classics
  3. Listen to 60 audiobooks
  4. Read 75 new books

I have read three classics so far, so I’m almost there:

  • Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
  • Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
  • Frenchman’s Creek by Daphne Du Maurier

Out of the 53 books I have read so far this year, I have listen to: 24 audiobooks.

And, out of the 53 books I’ve read: 47 of them have been new reads!

Will I hit my Reading Challenge 2020 Goals?

If I carry on the current trajectory that I’m on with my reading I’m pretty sure I’ll hit most of 2020 goals! Thankfully, one good thing that has come out of lockdown is that I’ve got a lot more time to read books at the moment!

What are your Reading Goals for 2020? Let me know in the comments below. Happy reading~!
