New Books in 2021 I’m Excited About

As we’re over halfway through the year I thought I would take a look at the next six months of publishing and see what new books catch my eye.

New Books in 2021 I’m Excited About

The Women of Troy by Pat Barker

Out in August. How could I not be excited for another Greek Myth retelling from Pat Barker. Following on from her previous title The Silence of the Girl which was all about Briseis and her relationship with Achilles. This time the book follows Briseis in the aftermath of the Battle of Troy as she befriends the fallen women of the great city.

Go Tell the Bees by Diana Gabaldon

Out in November. I love the Outlander TV series but I’ve only read one of the books in the series. So why, you may ask, have I put book nine in the series as an exciting new release? Well…I have no patience so I just can’t wait to find out what happens to the characters next in this twisty historical series.

Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney

Out September. I’ve already pre-ordered this title, that’s how excited I am. I rarely pre-order books – not because I don’t love them, but because I have a terrible memory and I’d likely pre-order the same book again and again. In the case of Sally Rooney I’ve made an exception.

A Drag Queen’s Guide to Life by Bimini Bon Boulash

Out October. Anyone who knows me will know that I love RuPaul’s Drag Race (UK and US editions) and so it should come as no surprise that I want to read Bimini Bon Boulash’s upcoming book. This is a non-fiction part-memoir, part-self-help book about being a queen!

Reputation by Lex Croucher

Out July. And finally, a really new release is Reputation. This is Bridgerton meets Pride and Prejudice title has been all the buzz lately and it’s come at the perfect time with the Bridergeton craze. Since I’m about to finish another Julia Quinn series – I’m addicted – I think this might be the perfect book to read straight after.

What new books are you excited about in 2021? And which of the above do you think I should be most excited about? Let me know in the comments below. Happy reading!
