My Travel Wish List

It’s been a while since I shared a travel post, so today I thought I would share a Travel Wish List of places I eventually want to travel.

A lot of friends have been traveling the globe recently – shout out to Holly and Brian on their Megamoon across Europe – and it’s inspired me.

These are the Top 5 Places I want to visit on my travel wish list.

Boston, Massachusetts, USA

I have technically been to Boston before when I was 11-12, but we were only there for a day. My family and I went to Cape Cod and adored Massachusetts. Now I’m older I’d love to return to the City of Boston and experience the city and its history. From visiting the many museums about the American War of Independence to Fenway Park. Not to mention the many authors that lived in and around Boston.

Florence, Italy

I’m a huge fan of the history of Florence, particularly the era of the Medicis. The renaissance and the art and culture that formed from it are breathtaking. From the Duomo di Firenze to the art and inventions of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Sandro Botticelli. And, of course, the Italian food.

Krakow, Poland

One of the oldest cities in Poland, Krakow has been of interest to me for a few years now and I’ve been recommended it as a travel destination by many friends. From its famous market to the Basilica and other architectural sites. It’s apparently quite cheap to eat and sleep, so a proper bargain getaway.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam is a city that everyone I speak to seems to have visited, and yet I haven’t. The history of Amsterdam is a particular draw for me. I would love to visit Anne Frank’s house and learn more about Amsterdam prior to the events of the Second World War. It’s famous for its waterways and everyone biking around the city. Also, the red light district; which is apparently great for picking up a souvenir.

Athens, Greece

And finally, Athens in Greece. I know that there are plenty of other islands in Greece to visit for the amazing beaches and slightly less touristy. However, it’s the history of Greece that is particularly compelling for me. And, as such, Athens feels like the best to go first. From visiting the Acropolis and its museum, to other cultural sites to discover more about Greece and its history.
