My Summer Reading List 2022

Summer is finally here – and we even have a mini-heatwave to go along with it. I’m making plans to have a few weekends off just to read and I thought I would put together and share my summer reading list 2022.

I’ve already shared my most anticipated books of summer 2022, so if you’re after some exciting new releases hop over to that post for some recommendations.

Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid

The last and only two books I’ve read by Taylor Jenkins Reid were fantastic, and I have a feeling that Malibu Rising is going to be just as enjoyable. Perfect for summer, I’m looking forward to reading this on a relaxing weekend in July or August.

Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to read Sally Rooney’s latest novel. I’ve been told it’s not her best, but I want to read it nevertheless. I can picture myself reading this in a coffee shop with air conditioning this summer.

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

This seems to be the book that everyone is talking about in 2022. It’s a feminist historical fiction novel, that follows the character of Elizabeth Zott. Elizabeth is a chemist turned single mother, turned cooking sensation. But this is the 1960s and she’s not just teaching women to cook, she’s also teaching them to revolt. Sounds amazing.

Impossible by Sarah Lotz

This is my book club’s current read, and I’ve been meaning to read it for ages. I’ve heard wonderful things about this unique love story, and I’m looking forward to finding out what people mean by ‘unique’.

And that’s it for my summer reading 2022. I have quite a lot on at the moment so I’m keeping it short and sweet this summer. What is on your summer reading list? Let me know in the comments below.
