My Favourite Restaurants in London 2021

Today I thought I would share some of my favourite restaurants in London 2021.

Since I mostly meet friends for dinner by our various workplaces – all of which are fairly nearby to one another – a lot of these restaurants are in South London, by the River. I definitely need to explore more in 2022 so let me know if you have any recommendations in Soho or North London.

Favourite Restaurants in London

Meson De Felipe

This was my go-to for lunch at my old job. They do the best paella I’ve ever – and think will ever – taste! You can choose to have seafood or simply chicken, and I often choose the latter, and for £5.50 you get a packed lunch box for warm, well-seasoned paella. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. You can eat in as well and they serve tapas alongside their bestselling dish and it’s all delicious and affordable. I highly recommend this place.

Pizza Union (Kings Cross)

A go-to for me and my friends. Pizza Union is a delicious pizza place with some unique toppings – chocolate and cheese pizza anyone? They also serve incredible breadsticks which are honestly worth it alone! Not to mention, a meal never costs more than a tenner. Get there early though, seats go fast.

Vapiano

Vapiano is a staple dinner place for me and somewhere I often recommend to friends and family not sure about what they’ll fancy for lunch. They have many restaurants throughout the city and you can choose between pasta and pizza with whatever toppings you want and they’ll make it in front of you in minutes. Delicious.

Champor – Champor (London Bridge)

A recent discovery thanks to work. This tiny little restaurant off of London Bridge Station serves delicious Thai food. A brilliant place for a business meeting or a quick lunch with friends. I lapped up every morsel of food when I was last there. It’s delicious!

Lord Nelson (Southwark)

At my old job, we often went to Lord Nelsons to celebrate birthdays and welcome new joiners. They serve the biggest, dirtiest burgers going and they’re delicious. You get your money’s worth – I don’t think I was ever able to finish a burger! They’re massive and so tasty. The toppings are a bit mad, but there’s definitely a burger for everyone. And the decor is bonkers too!

Flat Iron (London Bridge)

And finally, my go-to date place. If I’m going on a date after work – or during my lunch hour (genuinely did this once!) – I recommend Flat Iron. They serve the most delicious steaks I’ve ever tasted. Plus you get free popcorn as an appetiser. You can’t go wrong.

What are your favourite restaurants in London? Let me know in the comments below. And if you’ve ever been to any of these places let me know what you thought of them.
