My Current (Under £50) Homeware Wishlist
I’m back in my London flat! And I couldn’t be more excited. I loved living with my parents again, during lockdown, but I had only just moved into my new flat when I’d left and I hadn’t had much chance to decorate. As such, I have a fairly large Homeware Wishlist to share!
All of these items are under £50, and – just to reassure my father – I don’t plan on purchasing any of these items just yet. These are just what I’m considering and loving the look of right now. When I have the money and the capability to decorate more fully then I’ll be putting some money aside and going crazy!
Living Room Decor
I can’t wait to get my Living Room just as I want it. I’m currently working with a pink and grey theme, as you’ll be able to guess with regards to the items below.
Firstly I want to change the curtains in the living room, as currently they’re dark blue and super thin, I’ve found these lovely Denovo Room Darkening Curtains from Amazon – £19.55 and think they’ll be perfect! Keeping out the sun a bit better as well as being on theme.
There are some basic decor items I’d like to incorporate like the Elephant Doorstep from Matalan – £10 as the door doesn’t stay open properly. Not to mention the classic Embroidered Face Cushion from Matalan – £10 and a gorgeous Prismatic Eye Wall Hanging – Urban Outfitters – £10 to add some extra details.
And finally, for the living room, I want to add in another rug. I have a grey high pile rug under the sofa, but the living room is surprising large and I’ve separated it into two sections: TV area and Library. I would love this gorgeous Abstract and Geometric Designs Thick Dusky Pink Rug – Amazon – £48.95 to sit by the bookshelves as a point of difference.
The kitchen at my new place is slightly harder to decorate. The tiling is orange and white, which doesn’t exactly match the rest of the house decor. However, I love yellow and orange isn’t far off.
So, with the help of trust TK Maxx and Amazon I have quite a bits and bobs I’d love to incorporate. Firstly, I adored this KitchenCraft Chrome Plated Wire Chicken Egg Basket – Amazon – £10.96! It’s such a novelty item, but it’s functional.
For decor I loved this A4 Coffee Utensil Poster – Etsy – £12.99 and think it would look great on one of the plain walls by the door. And then for added functionality, I need a new Knife set. Morphy Richards Kitchen Knife Set – Amazon – £34.99
Finally, it wouldn’t be my house if I didn’t have something Harry Potter to decorate it with. Would it? I Solemnly Swear my Cooking is Good Chopping Board – Amazon – £14.95
The bedroom is probably the most complete, in terms of home decor. However, there are still a few bits and bobs I love the look of.
Firstly, I’ve really started getting into these tapestries! They’re gorgeous decor and also slightly functional as a blanket or bedspread, if you’re so inclined. Girl & Lion Strength Tapestry from SheIN – £8.49
Also, I may be about to become a plant mum. The horror in that. But I couldn’t resist this Succulent Mermaid from Matalan – £8 it’s just so cute! Also, if I choose to get a larger plant (fake or otherwise) I love this You Grow Girl Planter and Succulent – Etsy – £9.99. Got to have a pun.
For some extra touches, I like this Maisy Triangle Rug – Urban Outfitters – £14 and I’m surprising fan of seagrass baskets for keeping scarves and shoes in, so Natural Seagrass Belly Basket – Amazon – £10.82 would be perfect that.
What items do you like the best? Let me know in the comments below. And if you have a Homeware Wishlist post or Amazon Wishlist share that too! I love seeing what other people’s styles are when it comes to home decor.
