Fun Experiences For Adults in London 2023
If you’re looking for something fun to do with friends in the city, then here are some experiences for adults I recommend in London. From drinking cocktails in underground bars to playing mini-golf indoors, whilst eating a slice of truffle pizza.
Fun Experiences for Adults in London 2023
Taste Film
I first heard about Taste Film on TikTok; it is a sensory experience where you watch a movie and eat the food that the characters eat. They release new movie experiences every month, from Harry Potter to Ratatouille, and each meal is tailored to the film. Each meal includes cocktails, desserts and mains, usually about 5-6 courses, for £75 per person.
You can go on your own or with others, but there are only about 20-25 people per event. They let you know which films are coming up in advance and be prepared to set your alarm to get your tickets as they go quickly.
The Cauldron
If you’re a lover of cocktails and Harry Potter then The Cauldron is the place for you. For two hours you and a group of friends make your own cocktails in, funny enough, a cauldron. Mocktail options are available as well.
Cahoots
If you’re after a new after-work hang out then check out Cahoots. This 1940s cocktail bar is an experience in itself. Downstairs is an underground carriage bar – you literally drink in an old tube carriage – or you can sit in the signal box. Drinks are tailored to the 1940s – they are pricey but delicious – and tables can be booked in advance.
Harry Potter Studios
Technically just outside of London, near Watford Junction, is the Harry Potter Studios. Whilst I don’t like she-who-won’t-be-named, the movies are a big part of my childhood and the studios are my happy place. The tickets are pricey but you can spend the whole day there, so it’s worth the cost.
Dans Le Noir
If you’re after a sensory experience, then Dans Le Noir is a unique one. Enjoy a three-course meal completely – and I mean completely – in the dark. The waiters are blind and the experience will give you insight into their lives, whilst also offering you a great meal. You can have – as a table – a meat, vegetarian or vegan meal (you cannot have a mix) for about £85pp. It’s pricey, but it’s unlikely you’ll return for seconds, so why not give it a go?
Silent Disco in the Crypt
An auditory sensory experience is a silent disco. To add to the drama, why not go to a disco in a crypt? Tickets are non-refundable but you can choose your own music and have the greatest dance with friends, without having to worry about what song will come on next. The crypt adds to the atmosphere.
Swingers (Golf!)
And finally, who doesn’t love a bit of mini-golf? Near the Gherkin in London is an underground mini-golf course, with a fun outdoor theme and amazing food. I highly recommend the pizza with truffle oil. Slightly pricier than your average Butlin’s golf course, it’s well worth the price for an evening out with friends.
