Four Halloween Costumes for 2022

We’re officially in the Autumn season and I’m already thinking about Halloween. This year I’m heading to a Halloween boat party, so I need to think about a costume. I’m not into the ‘scary’ or ‘sexy’ kind of costume, so here are my four favourite Halloween costumes for 2022.

Bridgerton Character

As most readers of my blog will know, I adore Bridgerton. A few months ago I went to Secret Cinema Bridgerton and had a blast. If you want a regency Halloween costume then Bridgerton is perfect. You’ve got a few good choices, from a delicate debutante to a handsome rake to a tantalizing opera singer. Lots of fun ideas!

Beth from The Queen’s Gambit

If the sixties mod style is more your vibe, try dressing as Beth from The Queen’s Gambit. From her disastrous haircut as a teenager to her extra glamorous, Parisian years. There are plenty of outfits to choose from. My personal favorite is when she is doing one of her first big tournaments and she wears a black and a white chequered dress.

Promising Young Woman

A fresh take on the sexy nurse. Wear a multi-coloured wig and you have yourself, Carey Mulligan, in the award-winning, feminist thriller Promising Young Woman. If you prefer to move away from the sexy nurse image, you can wear one of her bright pink ensembles. Or a fluffy pink jumper and love-heart necklace.

A League of their Own

And finally, a baseball player from one of my favourite movies of all time. The recent TV series has meant there’s likely to be a resurgence of Rockford Peaches this October, but it’s always been a classic Halloween costume in my eyes.
