Next up: Movies. Take a look at some of my favourite movies of 2018.

Avengers: Infinity War Part 1

I want to hate this movie for what it did to me but I can’t. It was so good, not in storyline maybe but just for impact. I was comatose after this movie, people literally shout WHAT the second it ended. None of us moved though. It was gripping and I literally cannot wait for the second part.

Black Panther

Another Marvel movie, of course, but how good was this film! Not only for its culture and amazing cast but the storyline and the antagonist being who he was. It was epic in the best sense of the word.

A Star is Born

Whilst I had problems with the plot and characterisation of this film there is no doubting its cinematography or casting. Bradley Cooper did an amazing job as Director, Writer, Producer, and Actor in this film and Lady Gaga was expert casting. The music is fab and the performances are going to be worth some accolades.

Bohemian Rhapsody

I am a massive Queen fan so my joy at this movie finally being made was not small. Rami Malik did a superb job as Freddie Mercury and whilst the story was a little rushed and focused a little too much on the genius’ unraveling there is no denying the last twenty minutes of this film. Its glorious performance and Rami’s undeniably spectacular performance as Mercury were worth the ticket twice over.

The Children Act

This moving drama hit me right at my core. Emma Thompson and Stanley Tucci really shone and I thought it was incredibly moving.

The Maze Runner: Death Cure

I actually really enjoyed this movie series and was very upset when it was delayed due to the main actor being injured during the course of filming. But it was worth the wait. Unlike most trilogy’s this series didn’t wane, the last movie was probably its best.
