Favourite Christmas Drinks 2022

Hot drinks and Christmas go hand in hand, just like fairy lights and mirrors, in my mind at least. I love nothing more than getting home, cuddling down on the sofa with a blanket, hot water bottle and mug of one of my favourite Christmas drinks to watch a movie or decompress after a long day.

Today I thought I would share my favourite Christmas drinks for 2022.

Cadbury’s Hot Chocolate

A classic and my go-to Christmas drink is Cadbury’s Hot Chocolate. I prefer the instant powder to the milk version, which people find surprising. But I think it’s the ease of making a delicious hot chocolate whilst also making a hot water bottle at the same time. Delicious and efficient.

Mulled Wine

Who doesn’t love a glass of mulled wine at Christmas? I never used to be a fan, but over the last few years, I’ve been spoilt by drinking mulled wine in Covent Garden and other London Christmas markets. There’s nothing like wandering the city streets with a warm cup of wine for a local stall owner. And it smells delicious.

I’ve never made my own mulled wine at home, but my friends have made some for me. 2022 might be my year to try and brew my own.

Prosecco

My friends and family will often hand me a bottle of prosecco rather than a glass when I come to visit for Christmas, as I can throw it back. My go-to night out drink, a glass of prosecco is a great treat with my Christmas dinner.

Costa Gingerbread Latte

When Costa announces its Christmas lattes I am there, ready and waiting to request my favourite Gingerbread latte. I’ve tried other coffee shops attempts at gingerbread coffees, but Costa’s is by far the best.
