Christmas Films to Watch in 2020
Today’s Blogmas post is all about Christmas films! I adore Christmas films. I’m a massive fan of Christmas classics like The Grinch and The Holiday, but I also wanted to share some new Christmas Films to watch in 2020.
Christmas Films to watch in 2020
The Holidate – Netflix
Yes, it’s terrible. But that’s why I love it. If you’re looking for a straightforward, semi-ridiculous rom-com for 2020 then The Holidate is it. We all love a good pun, and the background of this story is highly relatable. Emma Roberts is becoming the queen of rubbish rom-com, I think she’s taken the crown from Katherine Heigl in that regard. But it’s fun.
Jingle Jangle – Netflix
I’ve yet to watch this, but I cannot wait! It’s supposedly the new The Greatest Showman. Whilst there hasn’t been much noise about it, I’m looking forward to sitting down with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoying it.
Dash and Lily – Netflix
I read Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares about five years ago, over Christmas. It. is a lovely Christmassy book and I think it would work well as a film. As such, this is on my Netflix watch list.
Operation Christmas Drop – Netflix
Another terrible rom-com we love to hate. It’s sweet though. A DC politician is sent to an Island to shut down its Christmas drop operation, where the army/navy drops supplies to remote islands. But, as ever with Christmas movies the protagonist has a change of heart when she sees the good that they’re doing and, of course, falls for the ringleader of the whole shenanigans.
Noelle – Disney+
And finally, I didn’t realise this Anna Kendrick movie came out in 2019. It seems to have had a very quiet drop, but Disney+ has added it to its streaming service in December 2020 and I want to watch it. There’s a cute reindeer and jokes about yoga, so I’m in. Who’s with me?
What Christmas movies are you watching in 2020? I’m still watching my favourite Christmas classics, but I also want to try some new Christmas films in 2020. Let me know your recommendations in the comments below.
