Christmas Cocktail Recipe

Happy Saturday everyone! We’re nearly at Christmas Day – have you done your shopping yet? Many of you have begun Christmas early and to celebrate I thought I would share a Christmas Cocktail Recipe.

Christmas Cocktail Ingredients

This is a really simple cocktail that you can get all of the ingredients for at the local corner shop. So don’t worry if you forgot the booze – just pop out and get these three things:

  • 750ml Bottle of Prosecco
  • Cranberry Juice
  • Orange Liqueur – or Orange Juice
  • Optional: Cranberries and Mint leaf for garnish

Christmas Fizz Cocktail

I call it a Christmas Fizz cocktail because it’s a variation of a Bucks Fizz, but it tastes like Christmas.

To mix it, simply add half a cup of Prosecco to 1 cup of chilled cranberry juice and 2 ounces of orange liqueur. If you have no liqueur use orange juice instead.

Use a cocktail shaker add some ice and shake it up. If you don’t have a cocktail shaker use a pitcher and stir. Add ice once mixed together well and then stir again to get it lovely and cool.

Once it’s all mixed together pour it into champagne flutes and add a few cranberries and a mint leaf for garnish. Then serve.

Some people I know also add a little sugar to the rim of their Champagne flutes but this is entirely optional. Depends if you like lots of sweetness or not.

Extra tip: If you want to make it extra Christmassy add some cocktail glitter to make the drinks truly sparkle. Add it to the mix or wet the rim of the cocktail glass and dip the glass in glitter.

It’s as easy as that. Enjoy your Christmas Cocktail with friends and family and have a Merry Christmas!
