Books on my Amazon Wishlist 2022

Since I am currently on a No-Spend 30 Day Challenge, I can’t buy any books. But I can add them to my Amazon Wishlist. Today I thought I would share which books I’ve added to my Amazon Wishlist 2022.

Careering by Daisy Buchanan

Careering is the book idea I wish I had. Looking at the effect of giving it your all for a job – in journalism – only to have it thrown back in your face. Two women, one at the end of her career and the other climbing the ranks, decide to rebel. It’s out at the beginning of March and I’m really looking forward to reading it.

Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Yes, I still haven’t read Malibu Rising. I loved Daisy Jones and Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo so I do really want to get to this. Definitely one for when the seasons change.

Well This is Exhausting by Sophie Benoit

I love non-fiction collections from feminist, young women. This collection of essays was written by an editor at Bustle, a funny feminist digital magazine. Looking at everyday topics and experiences of women – from being told you’re overweight by a doctor when you’re the smallest you’ve ever been, to being the life of the party whilst hiding crippling anxiety.

Gone for Lunch: 52 Things To do on Your Lunch Break by Laura Archer

I personally enjoy reading personal development books that make me think. Gone For Lunch offers 52 ideas for what you can do on your lunch break. As someone who usually eats lunch al desko I’d appreciate a few new routines.

Solo by Rebecca Seal

Next up on the non-fiction, personal development list is Solo by Rebecca Seal. This book helps you to get better at working from home alone, without losing your mind. Since working from home and hybrid working are the new normal, I want to make sure I’m staying healthy and happy with my new routines.

Brat: An 80s Story by Andrew McCarthy

And finally, as ever, I love an 80s memoir. I read Emilio Estevez’s and Rob Lowe’s last year and Demi Moore’s memoir the year before, it makes sense that the next one I read is Andrew McCarthy’s. I’m getting through the St Elmo’s Fire cast quite quickly!
