Books Being Made into Movies 2022
Today I thought I would share a list of some of the biggest books being made into movies 2022. There are a lot of books I’m excited about which are being adapted next year! But these four adaptations are my personal favourites.
I’ve yet to read Where the Crawdads Sings by Delia Owen, but I’m looking forward to watching the film adaptation. With a strong cast including Dasiy Edgar-Jones and Harris Dickinson, it should be really good. The current release date is June 2022.
The Fanning sisters will unite in their first movie together in years. Playing two sisters separated by the Second World War, this tragic story should be a big hit. Currently, there is no release date as its Christmas 2022 release date was pulled in October 2021, so watch this space for news.
Kenneth Branagh returns to the role of Poirot in the latest adaptation of Death on the Nile. This is my favourite Christie mystery and I’m really looking forward to heading to the cinema to see this version. There is an all-star cast including Gal Gadot, Emma Mackey, Dawn French, Adam Garcia and many other big names. And the movie is set for release in February 2022. I can’t wait!
I’ve only read Room by Emma Donoghue, but when The Wonder came out a few years ago I heard a lot of good things. And since I heard Florence Pugh was playing the protagonist in the film adaptation of The Wonder I was fully intrigued. Produced by Netflix, this movie adaptation should be out in the latter half of 2022.
