Bookish Resolutions | Mid Year Review

Bookish Resolutions | Mid Year Review

Everything blog-wise for me is a month late. In June, and early this month, I was in a slump and just didn’t have time to blog. But I want this to change and I want to get back on track with my Bookish Resolutions!

Today I am reviewing my bookish resolutions!

My Bookish Resolutions were:

Bookish Resolution 1: Read 70 books in 2017!

I am halfway to this target! I have read 37 books this year so I feel like I’m on track – with a blogging slump has come a massive reading slump too – but I should be nearing the end of this now I’m back reading Harry Potter!

Bookish Resolution 2: Read a Non-Fiction Book every month

Okay…I started well and it’s been picking up lately but I definitely have not read a Non-Fiction book every month. But if I read 12 I count that. (Little privileges)

Bookish Resolution 3: Read 60 new books in 2017!

This is one of those resolutions that I’m not sure if I’m succeeding on. I’ve not done as many re-reads this year but I still don’t feel like I’ve read a lot of ‘new books’. We shall see what the list reveals at the end of the year!

Bookish Resolutions 4: Read more Series in 2017

Hahaha! Nope. There are just none that interest me right now – besides Harry Potter (which is also a re-read!)

Bookish Resolution 5: Read at least 5 classics!

Again, nope. I’ve read a book of quotes by Oscar Wilde – not really a ‘classic’ per se. But that’s all I’ve read that’s even remotely out of the 20th century.

Hmm, I’m off target but I’m not stressed – Reading is a stress-free activity after all.

The only other goal I have this year – added in January – is reaching 100% funded on my novel: My Mr Keats on Unbound! Please help me reach my goals! Pledges start from £1 and you get an ebook & your name printed in the back of every book!

Have you got any targets for the year? How are you doing so far? Let me know in the comments below.

Happy Reading!

Love Ellie x
