Bookish Resolutions 2021 | Catch-Up
We’re halfway through the year, so I thought I would check in on the progress of my Bookish Resolutions 2021.
This year I set myself five bookish goals. This is how I’m doing so far:
In 2021 I have read 47 books so far. That’s 6 ahead of schedule so I’m on my way to achieving this resolution with aims to read 8-10 books per month.
Read 10 books with over 700 pages
I have read 4 books over 700 pages so far, 3 of which were Harry Potter books. The 4th was Riders by Jilly Cooper. I still have my eye on a few other big titles this year, including A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara so fingers crossed I’ll be able to manage this before the year is out.
Review 21 books
I’m definitely falling behind on this resolution, as ever, but I’ve got plenty of time to catch up. I may even write a few more reviews on Goodreads and Amazon today.
Read 90 new books
Out of the 47 books I’ve read so far, 40 of them are new reads. Only 50 reads to go.
Finish a series (Not Harry Potter) in 2021
Surprisingly, for me, I managed this within the first six weeks of the New Year. I read the entire Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn in January and February. She has multiple other series that I’m now looking to read, including a Bridgerton prequel series and a series about secondary characters in Bridgerton. She is definitely my new guilty pleasure author, and I cannot wait to read more from her.
So far, so good. With six months down and six months to go, there’s a lot of things still left to cover but I think it’s all still doable.
What do you think though? Which resolution should I focus on? Writing reviews or finishing 101 books? Let me know in the comments below.
