Bookish Resolutions 2020
It’s time to set some Bookish Resolutions 2020. Before we look at my latest resolutions. first I have to see how many of my resolutions I achieved in 2019.
Bookish Resolutions 2019
Read 90 books
Yes! I managed to read over 90 books in 2019 in accordance with my Goodreads Reading Challenge.
Read over 75 new books
I just managed this! I read 76 new books in 2019, with quite a few re-reads in addition to my usual Harry Potter Summer Read-a-thon.
Read a book from every decade of the 20th Century
I definitely didn’t manage this. Mostly because I forgot. Oops.
Read 50 Audiobooks
I truly love audiobooks and I managed to read 52 audiobooks in 2019.
Write a book review for every book I read
And another one I did not manage to achieve. Writing book reviews is really important and something I am very neglectful of, sadly. Here’s hoping I get better at it soon.
Not the best year for bookish resolutions, so I think the answer is to go a little simpler in 2020.
Bookish Resolutions 2020
Read 100 Books
The time has come to read 100 books a year! I always said I would aim to read 100 a year and after that, I would allow myself to stop with reading challenges. 100 books a year is just under 2 books a week, so that’s a lot! But in my line of work, I still think it is achievable.
Read 5 Classics
I’m slowly starting to get back into Classics but I’ve not read enough lately and I think it’s time to properly get back into my reading diet. So in 2020, I’m aiming to read at least 5 classic books.
Listen to 60 Audiobooks
I managed to listen to 50 audiobooks in 2020 so let’s see if I can up that with 60 audiobooks in 2020.
Read 75 new books
I always like to try new books and in 2020 I want to stick with 75 new reads with 25 re-reads.
