Best TV & Films on this Christmas
Happy Christmas Eve! Just one day to go until we all gorge ourselves on food, open presents, and watch countless episodes of TV and films we’ve already seen.
Best TV & Films on this Christmas
Here are some of the best TV shows and Films to look out for this Christmas.
Gavin & Stacy Christmas – BBC One
I’ve never actually watched this series but last Christmas my mate Rob made me watch the Christmas episode of Gavin & Stacey and now I know I’ll be joining most of the UK to watch this episode this Christmas.
Call the Midwife – BBC One
A staple of Christmas is Call the Midwife. Marking the start of the ninth series, this episode looks to be set in Scotland. Should be interesting.
The Great Christmas Bake Off – Channel 4
Some fan-favourite winners from the previous series of The Great British Bake Off are returning for the right to be crowned the Christmas Star Baker. Should be interesting. As a big fan of GBBO, I’m excited.
A Christmas Carol – BBC
Yes, another adaptation. This three-parter appears to stick to the darker side of Charles Dickens’ plot, but with a stellar cast including Andy Serkis, it would be remiss not to watch it. At least for me as a major classic fiction fan.
The Queen’s Speech – BBC
At 3 pm every year we all sit around the TV to watch the Queen’s speech. Here’s hoping there’s no awkward image of Prince Andrew in the background.
And of course, there is an array of movies to watch including How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Home Alone and The Santa Clause 2 so don’t miss those crackers!
Until then though… have a Merry Christmas! Next blogmas post: Boxing Day.
