Best Places to Buy Notebooks

Right now – or write now, I do love a pun – many of us are working from home, and therefore getting through notebooks like crazy. I love to write a daily To-Do list and hand-write meeting notes, rather than via a screen. It saves my eyes, and also I adore a good notebook so any excuse!

However, if you’re like me then you’re probably getting through quite a few notebooks and therefore need to re-stock. I’m here for you.

Best Places to Buy Notebooks

Paperchase

Paperchase is just notebook-city. I’d say that at least 50% of my notebooks are from this shop, so I would be really upset if they do go into administration. Save a business and buy a Paperchase notebook! They supply everything from fancy bullet journals, daily planners, novelty notebooks, subject books, and more. There’s something for everyone.

TK Maxx

If you’re after something a little fancier but are on a budget, then you can’t go wrong at TK Maxx. I tend to find my most beautiful notebooks here. I’m talking leather-bound or recycled hand-sewn masterpieces. You’re also likely to stumble on a new brand at TK Maxx.

Papier

If you’re after something really fancy, then head to Papier. Most of their notebooks start from £15 and above, and they’re incredibly well-made. They’re also stunning. I’ve yet to get a Papier notebook, but I hear great things from fellow writers who say they only write on Papier notebooks.

WHSmith

If you’re looking for some homeschooling supplies or knock-about notebooks for scribbles then WHSmith is a safe bet. They do really simple and affordable A4 notebooks in particular. Great for creating those school vibes at home.

Fringe (Available on Amazon)

I recently discovered the Fringe Studio brand and I’m in love. This was one of my TK Maxx finds. Technically you cannot buy Fringe from their own website as it’s US and Canada only, but they do sell to the UK via Amazon. A bit pricey, but amazing quality. Great for journaling in particular.

Typo

I’ve never been to a Typo store, mostly because I know that if I go in I will buy up the store. This is a modern version of Paperchase, with ridiculously low prices. I’m talking £6 for A4 notebooks with regular 3 for 2 deals. The designs are gorgeous, you can get recycled notebooks and save the planet as well! Amazing.

Cath Kidston

If you’re looking to gift a notebook to a friend or family member then I recommend Cath Kidston. These notebooks are branded with the typical Cath Kidston designs, and the quality is brilliant. I once wrote an entire novel in Cath Kidston notebooks, so they hold a special place in my heart.

Ohh Deer

And finally, support a smaller brand and treat yourself to some novelty notebooks and general stationery from Ohh Deer. This is a sweet, contemporary brand that will suit the next generation of Bullet Journalers and writers in particular. Great products for pre-teens and young adults.

There we go. Those are my recommendations for the best places to buy notebooks. I cannot wait to go on my next stationery splurge. I’ve got my eye on quite a few products from these stores.

Which store do you shop at for your stationery? I love a good recommendation, so let me know in the comments below.
