It’s time for my next ‘best books beginning with…’ post. Today’s letter is ‘D’. Here is my list of books I’ve read and would recommend beginning with D.

Best Books Beginning with D

Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

A personal favourite of mine. Daisy Jones and the Six is a brilliant book about a band from the 1970s. Very strong Fleetwood Mac vibes and I highly recommend listening to the full-cast audiobook, it reads like a music documentary.

David Copperfield by Charles Dickens

If you’re a classics fan, then I definitely recommend David Copperfield. I also recommend the audiobook, the one read by Richard Armitage. It has a massive cast of characters, and every chapter is an adventure.

Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie

If you’re more of a mystery fan, then I recommend my favourite Agatha Christie novel. Death on the Nile is a Poirot mystery set on a boat. The ultimate locked-room thriller, with her best twist – in my opinion. A great read for a summer holiday.

The Duke and I by Julia Quinn

For fans of Netflix Bridgerton, why not try reading the series. The Duke and I is the first book and Daphne’s story, just like the show. The family relationship between the Bridgerton siblings is just as strong in the book, and dare I say the romance between the Duke and Daphne is even steamier…

Dear Ijeawele, or a Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

And finally, a non-fiction recommendation. A short pocketbook about feminism and why we should raise our children – especially boys – as feminists.
