Avengers Drinking Games

First off: drink sensibly! I’m not a massive drinker, but I find that when I get together with friends for dinner and we put on a movie, that is when I do most of my drinking. I love a good drinking game, once in a blue moon, and what movies series is better fitted for drinking games than the Avengers!

Today’s blog post includes a few different drinking games for some of the first movies in the Marvel universe, including an Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Ant-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy drinking game.

Each of these is tailored to the first movie in each of these series i.e. Iron Man (2008) and Thor (2011) as opposed to all of the Iron Man movies. Although, most of the drinking games would be applicable across the whole series. So use as you see fit. And I hope you enjoy.

Iron Man

First off, the father movie of the Marvel Universe is Iron Man. I love this movie, although I feel it’s become under-rated as the years have passed by. It’s been 13 years since it was released! Where has that time gone. But it’s still a perennial Marvel favourite.

Captain America

Captain America is not my favourite out of the Marvel Universe – the first half is great and the latter half is quite dull in my opinion- but it’s an important origin story.

Thor

Thor from 2011 is a very odd movie. First off it was directed by Kenneth Branagh, famous for Shakespeare adaptations and acting himself. An odd choice for a Marvel movie, in my opinion. But who doesn’t love a bit of Chris Hemsworth?

Ant-Man

The second Ant-Man movie is definitely my favourite out of the Ant-Man series so far, but this origin story of a fairly unknown character was a surprise. The supporting characters are the best in this film – who doesn’t adore Luis and his bonkers monologues?!

Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy is the only Marvel movie since 2008, but pre-COVID, that I didn’t see in the cinema. I can’t remember why I didn’t see it, but I didn’t and I regret it. The soundtrack alone is worth the ridiculous plot.
