It has been quite a while since I blogged on my student blog and I thought since it is the beginning of the New Year I should attend to this.
2015 for me was a relatively good year:
–I am officially a published writer. I was published for the first time in a book called ‘You is for University’ & I had to do my first reading of my work! Terrifying, but brilliant!
– My cousin got married in February, and the wedding was so much fun!
–I started my last year of university & have so far only got Firsts this semester
–This Summer I worked bloody hard & saved up enough to get me through my last year of university
–I started to learn how to drive
–I had my first serious relationship with a wonderful guy
–My big sister passed University and is now a primary school teacher
–I had my first ever Indian meal. (Shocking, I know)
–Went to the Harry Potter Studios 3 times…(slightly addicted)
–I, and a few friends at university started a literary magazine.

–I worked as a dancing elf, feeding emus and helping Santa Claus – all while suffering with a cold and no voice.
Lots and lots of things that I’m proud of and happy to have experienced. Sadly things come to an end to, but I’m not one for whinging but celebrating the past and looking ahead.
Starting with New Year’s Resolutions for 2016!
1.Save for New York – it’s my 21st birthday this year, me & my best friend are going to New York! Yippee!
2.Begin to save for moving out – probably won’t happen until after New York in August, but I’m finishing University and I can’t stay home forever.
3.Pass University with a high 2:1! – I’ve got to finish university first!
4.Read 60 books – last year I read 54 with the hope of reading 50 so hopefully this year I can surpass that.
5.Say yes more than no! –Life surprises you a lot more when you try things.
6.Find a job after University – easier said than done, I know.
7.Submit more writing to publications/competitions – a repeat would be nice!
8.Pass Driving Test! –Since I’ve been learning to drive since the summer I just need to do my test now. I need a little more confidence and I’ll be away.
So there you are, my New Year’s Resolutions that I have set for myself this year! Nothing too strenuous, and most of them get made redundant between May and August, but I always like to aim for something at the beginning of the New Year.
I hope that 2015 was good for you too, even if only in a small way, and I hope that 2016 brings you, at least some of, the things you want.
